Charmed - I'm Sure - Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

I found this tutoriaI for a corner bookmark over at Follow Your Heart blog. I thought it was so cool that I just had to make one. I actually made two but one got wet from a sweating pop can (boy that was smart of me).

I used the artist, a stamp by Elisabeth Bell.
I used the colors pink, green and brown and a little charm with glasses on it, I thought it was very fitting for a bookmark. With the charm this fits into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

Buggy Over You - Scent My Cards challenge

There is a new challenge at a new site called Scent My Cards. They have a new line of wonderful scents that you can add to your cards using a roll-on - check 'em out!
The winner of the challenge will get the scent Cherry so the challenge calls for something cherry. I made colored Tilda holding a lady bug from the Spring Magnolia Collection. I colored her with my copics and su! watercolor pens. The sentiment is Buggy Over You.

I used some paper I found with fruit on it and was lucky enough that it had cherries on it. I used the colors of the fruits and a red gingham background and mounted on yellow card stock. The base of the card is in red card stock. I added some ladybug buttons from my stash and made antennas using black wire.
The inside is decorated using the rest of the fruit and gingham paper.

Friday Sketchers - Vacation

It's been awhile since I have made any scrapbook layouts so I thought I would use a sketch challenge for my layout. I am making an album for a friend and want it to be very special. I used the layout at Friday Sketchers and turned it upside down so the circles would be my title. Here is the sketch.
And here is my take on the sketch.
I used my Cricut Expression to make the people, the tree and the car from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I just love that little car -- might be because I drive a bug?? I'm sure the weather will be much nicer in Destin!

I layered the car in several places and placed the 'kids' in the back seat while mom and dad are at the front of the car decked out and ready for the beach! All of the embellies are from Oriental Trading Co.

Would love it if you would leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Scrappy Frogs - Challenge #3

This card is for the challenge over at Scrappy Frogs. The theme is spring flowers. I used a pansy stamp and stampin up paper that I won from Janet on Corrosive Creations (thanks Janet!). I used my prisma watercolors to color the pansy, nestabilities for the frame the pansy is in and of course some ribbon.
I also added a little butterfly charm that I had in my stash. I added some lace to the top and bottom of the rectangle at the bottom to dress it up some. The sentiment is computer generated.

The inside of the card has a double nestabilities frame with white cardstock for writing a special message.

Come join the fun at Scrappy Frogs - we'd love to have you!

High Maintenance - Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

This is for the challenge at Stamptacular. The challenge called for black, white and one other color. I chose lavendar as my other color.

This paper was originally purchased through LTD Commodities in a kit. I purchased it to scrapbook for my daughter. I did do a page or two using it and this is what is left. I really liked the kit. I used a Anime stamp and colored her using Copics and SU! watercolor pends. I cut out purse and added a handle. I added some flowers and gems for bling. The inside of the card has no sentiment but it is finished using the same group of papers.

Simply Precious - Corrosive challenge

I made this card for the challenge over at Corrosive Challenge. This was a tough one because you could use no colored images and words had to be the focal point. I didn't want to decorate it too much as to take away from the words so I settled on a white background and a mauvish color for the words. This was a big change not adding a colored image but I think it turned out OK.
I ended up using a couple of Cricut designs to combine into one. I chose Simply Precious for the front and Me, You and Together for the inside. I used Core'dinations cardstock for the cut outs and sanded them down before mounting on the card. I used my Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and an edger. I made a couple of little butterflies for the corners and added one white flower in the open space.

Mojo Monday Sketch 82 - entry 368!

Before posting this I checked out Mojo Monday and I will be entry #368. My goodness, this is a very popular challenge!!
This is for the challenge over at Mojo Monday. I followed the sketch that they provided and used the Pen Pal stamp from Sugar Nellie designed by Elisabeth Bell.

The colors are lavendar's and olive's. I colored her with Copics and SU! pens. I used some gold trimmed ribbon for the accent across the bottom and stamped Just a Note. The bottom scallop is made using a MS punch and the pearl brads are from Oriental Trading Co. The inside is finished using the same papers.

Corrosive challenge

This card I made for the Corrosive Challenge sketch. I used one of my Gorjuss girl stamps, Copic sketch pens and Spring Fling paper from Making Memories. I also added some glitter to the outside of the Nestie and around the sentiment. The Gorjuss girl stamp also has glitter in the hearts on the hair, dress and boots.

Still Crazy

I made this card for the challenge at Colour Create Challenge and the Magnolia-licious April sketch.

I used Core'dinations card stock and MS design papers. I used Edwin and Shy Tilda for the Magnolia images. I colored them with the few Copics that I have and added some rose colored flowers, pearls and copper plated brads.

Penny Black challenge - GIFT

I made this 'box' using the tutorial on Follow your heart for the mini pizza box. This is for the Penny Black challenge. If you take a look at Follow your heart you will see a note the first post .... There recently was some wonderful blog candy and I won. The prize was a hand signed image from Elisabeth Bell along with a set of the new stamps from Elisabeth Bell that are being made especially for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design in the summer.

I used Penny Black stamps to decorate the top of this box. I only have a few PB stamps but I love them, especially the animals. They are so very cute! I do not remember where the papers came from but were purchased within the last year or so (maybe?). I also used my Copics to color the stamped images. I embellished with Flower Soft. The sentiment is from CTMH. I tied a yellow ribbon around the front of the box and added a bow on the inside. The inside is also decorated in the same papers as the front.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

My day began today at 5:00 a.m. I took the day off but still wanted to get up at the same time so I could 'play'. I stamp several Tilda's and brought out my small collection of Copic Sketch markers. I don't have that many but bought a few more on Wednesday. They sure aren't cheap! Anyhow, what you are seeing is my first finished Tilda using my Copics. I used them for all except the jeans. I ordered a 'denim' set of Copics from Susanna's Custom Art and Card Design (very reasonable I might add). I also ordered a skin set since I am having difficulties finding these at my local Hobby Lobby.
After I colored Tilda and was OK with her I decided I needed a challenge to use her in so I chose the Sketch Saturday challenge.

Here is my entry. I used CTMH papers, flower brads from my stash, ribbon and SU! ink.

Sugar Bowl challenge

I made this card for the Sugar Bowl challenge using a wonderful sketch by Tiets. I loved being able to put so many different colors and shapes on the card. It was a challenge to get everything lined up but it turned out nice. The stamp used is Sugar Nellie's Post Box. I used a title of We've Moved.
I colored the image using my Prisma color watercolors, cut out both images and added dimension to the figure so it would look like she was standing in front of the mail box. It's hard to see that in the picture (still getting used to my new camera).
The inside is decorated using the same type of layout as the front of the card. It's hard to see the colors good but they are a light olive, olive, lavendar, purple and a light, light olive.
