Lady Bug Tilda heads to Friday Sketchers

I made this card using Tilda with ladybug from the Spring Collection. I used the sketch provided by Friday Sketchers. I used some DP from DCWV called Nana's kids. I just love these ladybugs!

I colored Tilda with my copics to match the colors on the papers. I had a pink feather in my stash that I have had for quite awhile, this was the last one. The color is a perfect compliment to the lady bug paper. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the circle that Tilda is standing on and then mounted it on green and pink paper.

I finished the inside using the same papers and mounted a second stamp of Tilda.

Mojo Monday and Stampavie challenges

This card is made for the Mojo Monday and Stampavie challenges. I used the sketch from Mojo and a Sarah Kay stamp using turquoise and brown for Stampavie.

I love Sarah Kay stamps, they are just so heart warming and fun to color.

I colored them with my copics and used some papers from my stash that I have had for awhile, not really sure of the brand but they work for the Stampavie challenge. I used two different papers for the background and then alternated them for the two strips of paper that the image is mounted on. I used gem brads for each corner and in the lower left corner added some flowers.
The inside of the card is finished in the same manner as the front.

Baby Alvin

I made this card for the challenges at Charisma Cardz and Card Patterns. Card patterns provided the sketch and Charisma is calling for dots, circles, etc. This creation meets that criteria.
The DP are from DCWV and are called Nana's Kids. The papers are all embossed and have glitter imbedded in them. I sat Baby Alvin at the bottom of the matted center and then added the word congrats cut with my Cricut. I added glitter so that it would stand out.
I colored Alvin using my copics.

I finished the inside using the same papers and matted Alvins head from a second stamp.

One Stop Craft Challenge, Creative Inspirations and Our Creative Corner

This card was made for three challenges - One Stop Craft, Creative Inspirations and Our Creative Corner.

The sketch is from Our Creative Corner and One Stop Craft and Our Creative Corner called for male cards.

I used Edwin sitting on a fence for this card. I colored him using my Copics and used browns and fishing lures for the background of this card.

Scrappy Frogs Challenge

The challenge over at Scrappy Frogs is for to use a fairy. This image is a digi-download from Dustin Pike.I colored the bear with my Copics and used blues and orange for the colors. The sentiment is Wishing you a fairy happy day.

Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group May Mingle

I belong to the Magnolia-licious yahoo group and there are events that occur every month. Making a card, or project, and sending it to someone is what the mingle is all about. May's theme is April Showers bring May flowers.

I made a gate fold card and placed a Tilda image on the front. She is from the Spring collection. I made her holding an umbrella that I cut from Hello Kitty Cricut cart. I cut out April Showers using the Doodletype Cricut cart and then placed a few flowers on the outside.

On the inside I used another Tilda that originally had a ladybug in her hand but I replaced it with a bouquet of flowers. Also, when the gate fold card is completely open the words showers and flowers are still readable.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - celebration
Saturday challenge - new beginnings

I used two House Mouse stamps and colored them with Copics. I cut out Sweet baby boy on my cricut and on the inside cut out Congrats. The colors are blues and greens. I added some little feet from my stash on the outside and inside.Inside the card:

Kissing Tilda and Edwin

This card is eligible for three challenges. I used the sketch from last weeks Sketch Saturday.
My time to craft's challenge is Love and Marriage, Copics colour challenge is b14, r27 and Y08. I didn't have b14 but found a comparable in b00 and bg10. This is my first time entering the Copics challenge so I hope my interpretation is correct about not having to use the exact color. ABC is for orderly and my flowers are in opposite corners of the card and Edwin and Tilda are in the center.

I colored Tilda and Edwin with these Copics.

I used an ecru scalloped lace for above and below the designer papers from My Minds Eye.

I cut a large heart from my Storybook Cricut cart and centered the two lovebirds on it. I added to dimension to them so they stand out better.

The inside has a cut out glittered heart that says I love you.

My Sweet Friend meets Kaboodle

This was made for the Kaboodle challenge and DT call. The stamp is from the new Whiff of Joy release and she is such a cutie. I colored her with Copics.

I added a little pink flower in the upper corner. I cut circles from the background paper and added some gems to the center. My sentiment is My Sweet Friend which is tied on with a ribbon. I used a punch for the border.

I added some gems in the upper and lower corners on the inside of the card along with a couple of streams of ribbon.

4 challenges, 1 card

I really got lucky on this one. The challenge from the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group is to take a regular Tilda stamp and turn it into a butterfly ..... hmmm, been thinking about this one for awhile now and hadn't come up with anything. On Saturday I started working on something. I bought some new papers from HL - Laundry Line by My Mind's Eye. These are great papers and just had to break into them. I also found a cool butterfly on the Cricut Indie Art cart that would work great for the wings. I finished the card on Sunday (not a very productive weekend) but I really like how it turned out. It also qualifies for 4 challenges: Magnolia-licious Yahoo group, Magnolia's Down Under, Rosie-Dee's and Dannie's Dreams.

I made a 6 x 6 card that expands to 12" (not sure what you call this one). The papers I used have greens, browns and a splash of blue. I used the sentiment of Butterfly Kisses. They are layered and cut on my Cricut at 1/2" using the Tear Drop cart. The bottom color is olive green and the top is ecru.
They are layered and cut on my Cricut at 1/2" using the Tear Drop cart. The bottom color is olive green and the top is ecru.
I mounted her on a cutout from one of my Storybook Cricut cart and then embossed using my Cuttlebug. I added a ribbon for her to sit on and her wings are cut of vellum. I originally added glitter to these but they curled so bad that I redid them and glad I did! I mounted her in the center on one side of the card. Tilda is colored using Copics. Now comes the really interesting part ......
I was unsure of what to do with the inside and through discussion with others that is what it turned out to be.

I stamped Edwin with his butterfly net and then scanned him on the puter and flipped the image so I would have him facing the opposite direction (I know, I shouldn't have done this but it is for my own use - forgive me please). One of each was placed on the 3" section on the inside of the card. He is also colored with Copics. I stamped the butterflies and colored them all different colors and placed them in the center and with Edwin --- and his twin. The sentiment inside says 'caught for you'

My Grafico Challenge #1

I recently applied for a new challenge group as a design team member and was selected -- woo hoo! The challenge blog is My Grafico and can be found here. There is also a group on Paper Craft Planet here. I made this card with a kit called Drive Me Crazy Mini Kit that can be purchased at the MyGraphico store. You can check out the other design team's creations here. We would love it if you would come and join the fun. The prize for this challenge is the Drive Me Crazy Mini Kit used in my card.

The kit comes with two different color papers - pink and green. I chose to use the pink background with the blue accents. I colored digital Anya with my copics and added some gems, flowers and glittered brads.

Graduation cards

No challenges for me this weekend. I did make a couple of cards though. I had an order for a couple of graduation cards and am still working on the 15 thank you cards I have do but only have four of those left and still a couple of weeks before I have to have them all done so I decided to do the graduation cards since it is coming up.

The first card is 6 x 6 and modeled after a card on Lena Katrine's blog. Her cards are so awesome and inspiring, they are just gorgeous. Go check out her blog here. I used Elisabeth Bell's Pen Pal for the image on the card. The colors are a light yellow, lavendar's and a purple. I colored them using my Copics (now have a full set -- hurray!!). I used some flowers, ribbon and buttons to embellish the card. I also added some glitter to a few parts of the stamp.

The second card is a tall card, 4 x 8. I used some papers from my stash and used blue, green, yellow, and oranges. I added some flowers, ribbons and brads.
For both cards I made matching envelopes and decorated the outsides to match.

Round and round we go

This card is for the Scrappy Frogs weekly challenge. The design team was challenged to make something round. I used my Cricut Wildcard cart for the circle. The paper is sanded to give it the aged look. There is a brown ribbon threaded through the cut outs around the circle. I added some blue beads around the white matting.
I colored Daisy with Copics and added two flowers along with a blue blitzy brad.
The inside of the card is stamped and embossed using a CTMH sentiment.
Come join the fun over at Scrappy Frogs!!
