For my card I chose to use Moulin Rouge Tilda from the Once Upon a Time collection. I used a Fine Oval chipboard frame from Make it Crafty and embossed the outer frame with Stampendous Frantage – aged black and then used Wow glitter around the inner frame. I added flowers from Wild Orchid crafts and red Elganza Web ribbon. The papers are from the Echo Park Yours Truly collection, a perfect fit for this image.

011 (Medium)

I stamped Tilda onto Make it Crafty blending card with Memento Desert Sand to get the no lines coloring look. I colored Tilda with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E11, E00, E000, R12
  • Clothes – N7, N6, N5, N4, R29, R27, R24, R22

Rustic inspiration

closeup (Medium)

This week at Make it Crafty one of our challenges is to color rusty iron. This is my project.

002 (Medium)

This was a fun project and rather challenging because I couldn't get the look I wanted at first so I just kept coloring and mixing colors until it started looking like I wanted. This is the end result.  So, what colors do you think gives a rustic look? A rusty tin can? I liked the color combo of Copics W5 and E15 the best but there are a lot of colors in this scene. While I was coloring this I thought it would be a great plaque for Home Sweet Home so I cut out letters on my Cricut and adhered them to the picture. This will proudly be displayed in my livingroom!

It’s a party

Little Miss Muffet stamps has a new release and it’s all about a party, a tea party. Lots of new stamps are available and they are so versatile. Check out the total colllection here. I chose to use a few of the stamps but took a different approach.

001 (Medium)

For my card I used Tea Party Friends #1 – Naomi and Maya, Tea Party Friends #2 – Molly and Khloe and Tea Party Gifts. I colored them with Copics and used Spellbinders Card Creator Distressed Edges dies. I inked up the edges with Archival French Aquamarine ink and added dimension. I stamped the sentiment using the same ink.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting and be sure to check out the entire Tea Party collection at Little Miss Muffet.

Wonderland at Make it Crafty

This weeks inspiration at Make it Crafty is a Wonderland theme with an optional choice of sparkle without using glitter. It's hard for me to do something without glitter when I think of sparkle so I decided to dust off my perfect pearls and see what I could come up with.

I colored my project and then added Pearl Perfect Pearls to it. I then thought uh-oh, it covers too much of the image. This is what it looked like.

001 (Medium)

I thought I had ruined it since I had already set the Perfect Pearls but I found that I could buff the picture and reduce the amount of sheen. This is what it looks like after that.

007 (Medium)

Much better don't you think? Next I took a black plastic frame and Distress Paint - Picket Fence, Broken China and Picked Raspberry and colored the frame

005 (Medium)Next I added a butterfly swirl that I inked with Black Soot Distress Ink and then added Pearl Perfect Pearls to it. A perfect fit to my frame.

006 (Medium)

I hope that I have inspired you to try something a little different and step outside of your comfort zone, you never know what you will find!
