Just Because

At the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog there is an anything goes challenge. Here is my inspiration for this challenge.

I chose to use the red rubber The Girl with a fan. She is only available for a limited time so go on over to Little Miss Muffet stamps and check her out along with her friends.

Instead of making her into a card I decided to add another page to my journal. The fence and the clock I added aged gold frantage to give them the antique look. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz and I colored the image with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting and be sure to head on over to Little Miss Muffet and check out the challenge and these great stamps.

Creative Coloring

At Make it Colourful this month our challenge is Creative Coloring. What does that mean? Well, we want to see different skin combos for the easy challenge or take an image and alter it using coloring. Fantastic challenge and yes it is a challenge!

I wasn’t brave enough, or artistic enough, to tackle the hard challenge of altering an image so I decided to go with a different skin combo.

I chose Pipi Faye digital stamp for my image. I printed her light onto Make it Colour blending card.

Here is a close up and a listing of colors. I have to thank Zoe for the hair and dress color combo, it looks really good with the cherry blossom skin color. Speaking of cherry blossom have you checked out Jennifer Dove’s blog? She does great tags with color combos which is where I got the cherry blossom from.

  • Skin – RV11, BV20, R00
  • Wings – YG11, RV11, BV20
  • Hair – E18, YR27, YR14
  • Dress – YR23, Y15, Y11, Y00
  • Grass – YG95. YG93, YG03, distress markers
  • Sky – B01, B00, B000, B0000

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Princess

It is time for a new challenge at Totally Tilda and to celebrate boss lady Susie's BIG Birthday we are celebrating the occasion with the theme of

***PRINCESS TILDA ***

All you need is a TILDA image from the Princess Collection or better still use a TILDA image wearing a Crown/Tiara. There are lots of them to choose from.

Our generous Sponsor for this challenge is

Nikki from Bunny-Zoe crafts

gif maker

And the Prize from Bunny-Zoe crafts.com is

For my card I chose to use Happy Princess Tilda from the Once Upon a Time collection.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the shape of the card and also the princess crown at the top. I sprinkled on Stampendous Frantage Embossing enamels, added a doily, flowers and butterflies all in shades of pink.

I stamped Tilda on to Make it Colour blending card with Tim Holtz distress ink – spun sugar and colored her with the following Copics

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Be sure to hop on over to Totally Tilda and check out the lovely DT princess creations.

Bloom Beautiful

Had a play today with Emma – Bloom Beautiful from Tiddly Inks.

What do you think? Tried something a little different with this one, deliberately cut the die so that it was even with the edge of the card, I liked the papers and didn’t want to cover them up. I do like the way this turned out.

Here is a close up of Emma. I added polka dots to her skirt because I wanted a pattern skirt instead of a solid one. I used a copic fine line pen to do this.

I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E11, E21, E00, E000, R11
  • Clothes – BG78, BG75, BG72, E81
  • Shoes – E84, E81
  • Hair – E49, E47. E44, E43

I would like to participate in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Tag–it’s about me

Over on Tim Holtz’s blog he is doing the 12 tags and for May I thought I would give it a try. This month it is a creative composition assignment. While I was thinking about my tag and what I wanted to put on it I decided that not only are these things some of my favorites but they are also me.

Here is my tag.

Let me tell you what each of these things mean to me:

  • Flag and bird – freedom to fly free and be me
  • Gears – the thoughts of creativity
  • Key – the ability to unlock the creativity
  • Keyhole – ability to see things differently
  • Collections – lots of little great little trinkets
  • Phrase – explore, create, experiment

Thanks for stopping by and visiting and hope you like my tag.

I’m booted

On Facebook in the Make it Crafty group Zoe challenged whoever wanted to join to color the boot house from the store and I decided to join in.

002

I used the boot house digital stamp and sized it to the same size as the rubber stamp and then I printed .... in a light color so the lines wouldn't show when I was finished. I am really addicted to coloring without lines. At first I was intimidated but the more I did the easier, and more challenging, it became. When I started this one I wanted it to be a fun boot house so I chose bright, fun colors. I printed this on my trusty Kodak printer and then colored it with Copics.

Here is a close up of the boot house
