Make it mini

2014-08-17 15.49.27wm

At the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog we were challenged to make a mini card, tag or something. I thought, OK, no problem. Boy, did I struggle with this one believe it or not.

2014-08-17 15.49.27wm

This is Daisy Kate Hatter and she fits perfectly onto a tag size card. I didn’t do any embellishment other than her but with the paper I thought it was perfect as it was. It felt a little odd not to add ribbon, flowers, etc. but I really didn’t feel the need to.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting and be sure to check out all of the great stamps and digitals at Little Miss Muffet stamps.

When the going gets tough

2014-09-01 11.21.16sm

We get Brian in all his weight lifting glory. Brian Lifting Weights is from the new Healthy Living collection at Make it Crafty \. This is a great collection full of 'healthy living' characters.

2014-09-01 11.21.10wmMiC

For the base of my card I used a Tim Holtz stencil and daubed on black ink to color the background. The sentiments are computer generated and popped up with pop dots.

I colored Brian with Copics. Here is a close up.

Two Tone Monochromatic & Abstract Background

2014-08-09 18.17.40

This month at Make it Crafty we were challenged by Zoe to do a two tone coloring with an abstract background.

This is mine. I chose to use Adele, she is one of my favorites. I know, another favorite, but I have a lot of favorites Smile

2014-08-09 18.17.40

This is 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 as I wanted the image a little large. I printed her onto Make it Colour blending card in a light, light gray. I colored her with the following Copics.

RV06, RV04, RV02, RV00, RV000, RV0000, BG05, BG02, BG01, BG000, BG0000

To make the background I took the refills for the above and dropped drops onto my paper.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting and be sure to hop on over to Make it Crafty – photo gallery - and take a look at all of the two-tone creations. Better yet, come take our challenge. What two colors will you use?
