Beautiful Peacock

Are not these new Make it Crafty birds so gorgeous? So many to choose from. You can find the whole collection of digital birds here

I chose to use Beautiful Peacock for our current challenge of Feathers. I have always been in awe of their gorgeous tails and the bird in general. And so many color choices out there.
For coloring I decided to go with the most common colors - blues and greens.

After coloring the tail I added some Wink of Stella to get that shine that you see on the real bird. Although it does not do the bird justice it does add to it.

A new year

It has been a whirlwind of activity at my house over the holidays. Making gifts, seeing family, preparing meals.

Holidays are difficult for many, including myself, and even though a good time was had by all, I am glad that they are over.

This is the first coloring of the new year. It is actually an image I started on back in September/October and just now found the time, and desire, to finish it.

This is Forever Love and she is available at Make it Crafty.
Another favorite, love the hair and the zombie look …..

I printed her onto Make it Colour blending card and colored her with the following Copics:
  • Skin – E87, E84, E81, YR61
  • Hair – W8, R89, R59. R39, YR15, YR18
  • Clothes – G29, G46, G24, G21
  • Scars – W7, W5
  • Skulls – E43, E42, E41, E40, W0, N10
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Antique Linen over the top of the colored image and then stamped using Black Soot. After stamping I went back over with Tea Dye.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.
